Albatros is a fabulous location and a well maintaned community only a five minute walk to the main square, where you will find supermarkets, a large selection of bars, restaurants and shops. The beach is just another short stroll from there.
The beach front apartment is located on the shores of the Mar Menor at Playa Espejo.
The beaches of los alcazares stretch 7km along the pedestrian walkway and is very flat, the area is great for walking and cycling. The Mar Menor (little sea) which is the largest salt water lagoon in Europe and is separated from the Mediterranean by La Manga strip. The waters of the Mar Menor are shallow and warmer than the Mediterranean making it great for bathing in its therapeutic waters.
A ferry service is available between June and September from Los Alcazares to La Manga.
Only 2km away from the motorway making easy access to all the Murcia region, the historical city of Cartagena, the Calblanque Nature reserve, La Zenia Boulevard (for the shopping enthusiast) and many golf courses are all within easy reach. Tuesdays and Saturdays are markets days in Los Alcazares where many bargains can be found as well as fresh, locally grown fruit and vegetables.
Los Alcazares has the old town with its spanish flavour and traditional tapas bars. The new town which is a pedestrian strip with a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops for all tastes.
